Rabbi Dr. Avram Block

Rabbi Block earned his rabbinic ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and has served on the rabbinic staff in a number of synagogues in the Tri-State area and beyond. He plays an active role in his hometown community of Stamford, CT.

Rabbi Block earned a Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) from St. John's University in 2011. He is a practicing psychologist in both school and clinical settings.

Rabbi Block trained formally in circumcision for several years in New York, Jerusalem and London and has extensive experience and background in providing best practices in the Brit Milah process. Rabbi Block's Brit Milah practice is grounded in the very best of medical science, rabbinic wisdom and human sensitivity in what is one of the most meaningful experiences a Jewish family can experience.
